19 May 2009 - NORTHERN ROOSTERS CLUB FUNCTION - RAISING MONEY FOLLOWING THE THEFT OF EQUIPMENT

The Northern Roosters Football Club Inc. would like to invite all of its players, members, supporters and fans to the club function at Zara Restaurant on Sunday 7 June 2009 (Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend).

The function is being held to raise vital money for the club following the THEFT OF EQUIPMENT from the storeroom in the past week. Unfortunately all of the senior and junior equipment including soccer balls and other apparel was stolen. All funds from the night will help purchase these essential items.

The opening night function contained plenty of food, music and entertainment. Everybody in attendance enjoyed the night by dancing it away. As a club and community we know how to have fun, so make sure your in attendance and don’t miss out! Once again, plenty of raffle prizes will be on offer!

Furthermore, a MASSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT will be made on the night which will shake the whole Victorian football community!!!! This announcement should not be taken lightly and unless you want to hear incorrect information from a second hand source, be in attendance and hear the massive news for yourselves.

16 April 2009 – NORTHERN ROOSTERS AWARDED TRIBUNAL DECISION

Following the 2 – 0 match defeat against Broadmeadows United, it came to the attention of the club that Broadmeadows United played two unregistered players.

As a result, the club made a game protest to the FFV. The game protest was heard on 15 April 2009 by the FFV Tribunal.

The tribunal found Broadmeadows United guilty of the charge. Thus, the match result was awarded to the Northern Roosters 3 – 0. As a consequence the club has been awarded 3 points from the match.

The club is accepting registration for both boys and girls aged 5 - 10 to participate in Small Sided Football.

The Small Sided Football program will be taking place on Monday and Wednesday nights until the season starts in April. Onwards it will be Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings.

Children are able to attend both sessions or one session a week.

Upon registration each child will receive:
- Northern Roosters playing t-shirt
- Shorts
- Socks
- Soccer Ball
- End of season trophy
- Quality coaching from qualified coaches

If you would like to join, have relatives who would like to join or want to enrol any 5-10 year old boy and girl, register your child.

Training session for the Senior Men’s Team will be every Monday and Wednesday at 6:45pm at Gibb Reserve, Blair Street, Dallas.

The session will be taken by our Senior Coach.

All players are welcome and are advised to bring boots, runners and a drink bottle.

The Northern Roosters have accepted the Football Federation Victoria (FFV) membership and will be participating in the 2009 Metropolitan League. The club will be fielding a Senior and Reserves team. The club will be based within the City of Hume.

The Northern Roosters will be entering an Under 16 Girls team into the North West FFV competition. This will be the only under 16 girls team based within the Hume area.

All skill levels and experience including novices accepted. Expert coaching will be provided by our qualified and educated coaches to ensure you enjoy your football experience.
